Private violin, viola, and cello lessons at Rosa's home studio in Watsonville — a straight shot down Highway 1 from Capitola Village.
Why Capitola Families Drive to Watsonville
Capitola is a beach town — and finding rigorous, one-on-one string instruction in the Village isn't easy. That's why Capitola families drive to Rosa's home studio in Watsonville: a straight shot down Highway 1, about 20 minutes door to door. One weekly trip, and your child studies with a Suzuki-certified instructor who has spent 10+ years teaching, 30 years playing viola, and 10+ years playing violin.
Rosa's credentials travel well beyond the county line. She graduated Cum Laude with a BM in Music Education from San Jose State, earned her AA in Music with Honors at Cabrillo College — the community college serving all of Santa Cruz County — and teaches strings at Kirby Prep in Santa Cruz and YOSAL in Salinas. At her Watsonville studio she offers private violin, viola, and cello lessons for ages 4 and up — from a preschooler's first bow hold to an advanced student's audition preparation.
